Mr. Gerald M. Pratt's Obituary
Gerald M. Pratt, 94, a long time resident of Sugar Land Texas, passed away on June 28, 2013, after a long illness. He was born in Hillsboro, Arkansas on April 8, 1919 to Schuyler Pratt and Eva McMath Pratt, the eldest of their seven children. He grew up in Strong, Arkansas where he attended high school. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he moved to Houston, Texas. He was employed for thirty-eight years, by Southwestern Bell Telephone. Our Dad loved spending time with his family and especially so when engaged in his favorite pastimes of hunting and fishing. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lois Marie Pratt, his brothers Schuyler Pratt and Grady Pratt, his sisters, Patricia Jenkins and Virginia Weaver, his daughter, Martha Frosch, and his grandson Stephen Pratt. He is survived by his children, Victoria Douglass and husband, Bob; Ronald Pratt and wife, Michele; Stephania Whitsitt and husband, Kenny; Stephen Pratt senior and wife, Robbie; David Pratt and wife, Janice. Other survivors include his sisters, Ruby Glo Walker and Florice Mouton; former spouse and dear friend, Mildred Othell Pratt; twenty grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Dad was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
