George Steve Dezo III passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, at the age of 70, in San Antonio, Texas.
George was born on January 17, 1954, in Galveston County, Texas, to George Steve Dezo Jr. and Thelma Shray Dezo. He spent his childhood in Alvin, Texas, and graduated from Alvin High School in 1972. George went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
As an Eagle Scout, George had a lifelong passion for the Boy Scouts of America. He also enjoyed fishing, cheering on the University of Texas football team, and traveling with close friends.
Professionally, George dedicated over 40 years of service to the steel service center industry, ending his career as the VP/GM Central Region for the Triple-S Steel Corporation at their San Antonio Facility. His commitment and leadership to the steel service center industry will leave a lasting impression on all his colleagues.
George was preceded in death by his parents George Steve Dezo Jr. and Thelma Shray Dezo, and sister Paulette Dezo Brumbelow. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Dezo Booth; nephews Tom Booth and Jeffery Brumbelow; nieces Kari Booth Jones and Janet Brumbelow; and numerous family members and friends.
A graveside burial service for the Family will be held at the South Park Cemetery.
George’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
