Gary Dean Rahe's Obituary
Gary Dean Rahe was born in Fredericksburg, Texas on February 13, 1952 to Louise Fritz Rahe and Harold Christian Rahe. Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Carol Rahe, sons Kyle Dean Rahe and Kevin Linn Rahe and predeceased by son Kelly Christian Rahe. Gary is survived by his older brother, Wayne Rahe (Margrit) predeceased) and his younger sister, Sue Jordan (John). Gary is survived by his cherished nieces and nephews and their extended families. Gary grew up in Harper, Texas and excelled in three sports at Harper High School. Upon graduation, he was offered several football scholarships but he followed his passion for baseball with the Kansas City Royals organization.
Gary worked for Dresser Atlas (Baker Hughes) as an operator offshore and land jobs for 34 years and retired in February 2015. Our rescue pit bull, Miss B came into our life when he retired. A loyal and loving companion for Gary.
Gary was an avid sport enthusiast especially baseball and tennis. He loved reading, was an active walker, enjoyed yard work and visits to the Texas Hill County.
Gary was a kind man and he loved friends and family and good hill country sausage and peaches.
Relatives and friends please join us at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main Street, Pearland, TX 77581 on Friday, March 10th, 2023 at 9:00 AM viewing and 10:00 AM (service). Interment will follow the service in Meditation Gardens at South Park Cemetery.
