In 1988, Gary became a father to his first daughter Brianna Ponder, going on to have four more chilaren, Garon Ponder, James (J.T.) Ponder. Amanda Alexander, and Christa Alexander. Gary was exceptionally happy to be married to the love of his life, Puncharasm Phimsiri, Iovingly known as Maam. The day he became a grandfather to Talia, and Rogue Martinez-Ponder, was an endless love and brightest joy in his eyes.
Gary was a force of nature, most of the time, the calm during and after the storms for the people he loved most. He was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his children, and always tried his best to support them.
Gary was also passionate about his family, including brothers, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends he thought of as much as family as any of the rest, and would always happily maintain these relationships and keep us all as connected as possible. Gary could often be found with family and friends when he wasn't at work or at home.
Anyone who knew Gary knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.
