Gary Wayne Barta's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Wayne Barta, who left this world peacefully on May 3, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on July 11, 1955, in Bay City, Texas, to the late John Frank and Rosie Regina Pawelek Barta, Gary lived a life rich with love for his family. A proud graduate of Pearland High School. Gary dedicated many years of his life to the HVAC industry, making a notable impact as a valued employee at Atlantic Services. He found joy in woodworking, creating beautiful bird houses and iconic Adirondack chairs that became cherished treasures for family and friends. Gary was in the Catholic tradition. His Christian values shaped his character, reflecting a life of kindness and unwavering support for those he loved. He is survived by his beloved brother and sister-in-law, John and Susan Barta; his sister and brother-in-law, Regina Barta Irish and Barry; his nieces Kathryn Regina Barta, and Sarah Longlet and husband Adam; nephew Jeff Byers and wife Karen; beloved, great-nephew, Baylor Byers and great-nieces Ava Longlet and Emily Trochez Diaz. Nell Proctor, Claudia Byers, Tate Clements and Melissa Quinn were very special to him also. Gary will be remembered for his warmth, kindness and the deep affection he held for those closest to him.
A funeral service to honor Gary's life will be held on May 9, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel, with visitation scheduled for the same day from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in Pearland, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary's memory to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, supporting children and families in need. As we gather to remember Gary Wayne Barta, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the many ways he enriched the world around him. May his spirit continue to inspire us as we move forward.
