I remember Gaines fondly. An easy going pleasant guy to talk to and a solid businessman. I had a large vinyl record spot there for a couple of years and he and co owner Gayle were always supportive and helpful. I was shocked to hear of his passing back then. But I always have fond memories of our conversations and his engaging smile. It was nice to have met you in this lifetime.
Gaines will be truly missed. Always a pleasure to speak with at the antique store. Prayers 🙏 for the family and his friends. May God's love give you strength and courage.

When we started our business, we decided to come to Alvin Antiques because of our positive impression of him. And we’re so glad we did. He has always been so genuine and friendly and made everyone feel welcome, greeting each person with that big smile. And he was always helpful, offering a hand or a hammer or whatever we needed. Gaines was such a genuine and friendly person, always ready to lend a hand, give a hug, or share a story. He was truly one of the nicest people I’ve ever known. He will be missed by all.
