Baker, Gail L.'s Obituary
Gail Lavaun White Baker, 88, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025. She was born on May 24, 1936, in Menard, Texas, to Raymond White and Ruby Sikes White.
Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Baker Sr.; her son, Glen Baker Jr.; her grandson, Kyle Flores; her parents, Raymond Sr. and Ruby White; her brother, Raymond White Jr.; and her sister, Billie Baker.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Sandy Baker and Karen Janczak, as well as Karen’s husband, Robert Janczak. Gail’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Amy Flores, Brandi Janczak, and Seth Janczak, along with Seth’s wife, Savannah Janczak, and their son, Ryan Janczak. She is also survived by her dear sister, Dana Schiller, and her husband, Jerry Schiller, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Gail was a devoted caregiver, showing remarkable strength and love for her family. Professionally, she worked in the student loan office at Baylor College of Medicine, where her kind and meticulous nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Gail will be remembered for her warmth and strength. Her family and those closest to her will forever cherish the memories of her unwavering love and resilience.
A celebration of Gail’s life will be held at Southpark Funeral Home in Pearland on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at noon. All family and friends are welcome.
