Mr. Frank Charlston's Obituary
Frank Charlston, 80, of Sargent, Texas, beloved Father and Grandfather passed away on Monday, December 30th, 2013. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Marie Charlston of 59 years. Born in Houston, Texas on February 23, 1933, where he and his wife were long time residents until building their retirement home in Sargent, Texas to fulfill their love of fishing and boating. After serving in the Armed Services during the Korean War; he attended the University of Houston where he graduated with his degree in Architecture. As an Architect, Frank had a passion for designing and building homes throughout his entire life. He enjoyed sports, especially the Astros and college basketball. Frank's sense of humor, sharp wit, and loving personality will truly be missed by all. He is survived by his children, Vicki and her husband Mickey Turrentine; Valerie and her husband Milton Lampson; and Doug Charlston, and his wife, Stephanie. He had 8 grandchildren: Corey Turrentine, and his wife Liz; Candace and her husband Richard Ayers; Daniel, Samantha, and Natalie Lampson; Dustin Charlston and his wife Jessica; Brittany and her husband Ryan Soto; and Courtney Charlston. He also had five great grandchildren: Nathan, Dylan, and Ally Ayers; and Brayden and Emberlyn Soto. The family will receive friends at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. - 6 :00 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas, burial services will follow at South Park Cemetery, Pearland, Texas. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at St Luke's Hospital and Houston Hospice Center for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
