Forrest Lee (Red) Henning, 85, passed away at home on January 16, 2008 surrounded by his family. He was born at St Joseph, Hospital in Houston, March 11, 1922. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar & Esther Henning; his brother, Cecil; his sister, Mildred; and son, Ricky. Survivors include his loving wife, Arlene; daughter, and son-in-law, Vicki & Billy Roesler; brother, Raymond; in-laws, Arthur Schrieber, Orville & Doris Grauerholz and numerous nieces & nephews and many friends. He retired from Houston Lighting & Power Co. with 44 years of service. During World War II, he went to Trinidad as a civilian lineman to help build a military air strip. He enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served aboard the USS Indianapolis, surviving ten major sea battles in the South Pacific.
