Mrs. Florence Elizabeth Howard's Obituary
Florence Elizabeth Valentine Howard, of Pearland, Texas, passed away peacefully at age 80 on May 17, 2018. Florence was born on June 1, 1937 in Houston, Texas, to Rusty and Lillian Valentine. Florence graduated from Milby High School, married her sweetheart in 1960 and moved to Pearland in 1967 to raise her children. With her parents living on one side and her sister and her family living on the other, Florence was literally surrounded by family and loved spending time with them. She adored her grandchildren. Florence always had a song in her heart and her daughters fondly remember how she would go about her day singing. Florence was a Godly woman that wasn’t one who quoted scripture, she lived it and taught by example. She has left a legacy of love, patience, kindness and perseverance. We will always carry her in our hearts. Florence is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Howard; daughter, Lizabeth Gillis and her husband, Lee; daughter, Charlotte Selvera and her husband, Richard; grandsons, Hayden and Tyler Selvera; sister, Lucille Idoux; nieces Stephanie Hudson and Lori Idoux; nephew, Mark Idoux and wife, Wendy. A memorial service will be held at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, Texas, on Tuesday, May 22 at 10 am. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
