Fermin Luis Espinoza's Obituary
Our beloved son, Fermin Luis Espinoza, passed away peacefully in his home on March 15, 2025 at the age of 57. He is survived by his loving parents, Fermin G. Espinoza, Jr. and Rosa S. Espinoza, his sisters Cecilia Powell (Daniel Powell), Michelle Espinoza Flores (Reginald Walker), Selina Gill (James Gill), Monica Ramirez (Mauricio Ramirez), Ariana Espinoza Viera (Albert Viera), Veronica Alexander (James Alexander) and brother Saul Damian Espinoza.
He was born in Houston, TX on January 3, 1968. He had a lifelong passion for cars and his hometown sports teams. He loved Jose Cruz and would imitate his batting stance, pretend to hit the ball over the wall, then run the bases and call his own self SAFE! at home plate; then you would hear him saying “Cruuuuuuuz.” He also loved to sing and dance, playing his music so loud in his room and singing into the microphone; it didn’t matter how many times you went in to turn the volume down, as soon as you left the room, he turned it right back up! And birthdays, he loved his birthdays and pinatas. Every year after Christmas, he knew his day was coming up. He’d raise his hands high in the air and start flickering those fingers, then point to himself, and then pretend he was leading the crowd in singing Happy Birthday; all to let us know his special day was soon coming.
Though he is no longer here with us physically, he lives on in our hearts and memories. His joyous smile, humor, and unconditional love will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind 15 nephews and nieces and 11 great nephews and great nieces.
The funeral will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, March 28, 2025. All friends and family are welcome.
