Mr. Eugene Anton Perrard's Obituary
Eugene A. “Gene” Perrard ’09, 75 years old, of Houston died November 16, 2015. Gene was
born in Pasadena, TX and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School. After graduation Gene
joined the United States Air Force and served as a flight engineer during Vietnam. He retired
from the Air Force Reserve after flying for many years with the 704 Tactical Airlift Squadron out of Ellington and Bergstrom Air Force Bases on C-119 and C-130 aircraft's. Gene worked for a
major engineering firm as a draftsman for 41 years and then went on to work for several other
firms in the Houston area. He was a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show and
Rodeo and served more than 30 years on the Quarter Horse Committee. While putting his four
children through college and watching them obtain their Aggie Ring, Gene decided to go back to
college and graduated from Texas A&M University at College Station in 2009 with a Bachelor of
Arts Degree in History. Gene loved to travel, with Paris and Luxembourg being his favorite
places to visit. He also loved dancing to Cajun music, researching his family’s genealogy,
learning French and German, restoring classic cars and going to Aggie football games.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents Anton Perrard and Stephanie Kunz Perrard. Gene
is survived by his children Rex Perrard ’86, Russell Perrard ’92, Amy Frank ’93 and Andrea
Perrard ’02, grandchildren Andre Perrard ’15 and Jacqueline Farr ’19, brother Darrell Perrard
and Connie Perrard.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.
