Ernest Martinez's Obituary
With hearts full of both sorrow and joy, we announce the beautiful news that the Lord's servant, Ernest Martinez, has made the blessed journey home. What a joy it will be when he reunites with both his grandma Juanita Sanchez, and his dad, Fernando Silva.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 happy years, Dianne; his son and side‑kick, Albert (Brenda); his daughter and partner‑in‑crime, Celeste (Micah), and his grandsons who were his treasures, Anthony C., Enzo C., and Aaron R. He also leaves behind his mother Olga Silva, and brothers David (Kelly), Hugo (Malissa), Efrain, and Luis, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Ernest, “El‑Capitan”, was born in Dilley, Tx. on October 25, 1958. He spent most of his youth in Chicago, Illinois. He later moved to Houston, Tx. and became the “World’s Greatest Stationary Engineer”. But his greatest roles were Husband, Dad, Gramps, and Servant of Christ! Roles that he cherished, protected, and felt were his greatest achievements. Amor, we love you so much!
