Erick Vladimir Ortiz's Obituary
Erick Vladimir Ortiz, 52, gained his heavenly wings on December 6, 2020. Erick was born on June 7, 1968 in San Salvador, El Salvador to Juan V. and Rosa M. Ortiz. Erick is survived by his adored and loving wife of 27 years, Maria Elena Ortiz, his adored children, Erika, Gabby, and Isaac, his adored parents Juan and Rosa Ortiz, his beloved sisters in law and brothers in law, Patry and Antonio, Jorge and Magda, Osmundo and Linda, David and Claudia, Daniel and Nancy, Ricardo, Juan and Helen, Mauricio and Coki, his beloved mother in law Laura Davila, and his beloved sister Rosa and family. Erick is also survived by many aunts and uncles and by many nieces and nephews who loved and admired their dear Tio Erick.
Erick was preceded in going to eternal life by his loving grandparents Papa Mariano, Mama Tina, Papa Nancho, Mama Gina, father in law, Juan Davila, and sister in law Johanna Cuadra. Erick attended Texas Southern University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Erick worked as a high school chemistry teacher for over 23 years. The field of education has lost its best teacher. We are sure that Erick is already assigning science lessons to the angels in heaven.
Erick was a devoted father, husband, and son. His joy of life was to praise His Lord and spend time with his family. Erick was a devoted Christian and his love for God was immeasurable. He had a joy for life and most of all for God. Erick was a servant of The Lord, and even in his most difficult moments, he remained a faithful Christian loving His Lord above all.
Erick leaves a legacy to his children of faith, compassion, generosity, love, hope, and family unity.
Papi, we will always love and adore you. You will continue to fill our lives with so much love, joy, and hope. Thank you Papi for all your love, teachings, advices, and life lessons, but most importantly, thank you Papi for instilling that infinite love and faith in Our Lord. Mi amor, Honey, the love of my life, my best friend, and my everything, you will always stay near me and our children. Thank you for giving us so much love, trust, safety, and time. Your children and I will always adore you. I know God needed a special angel and He called you, our beloved Erick.
