Eramalladyl Abraham Abraham's Obituary
Abraham Eramalladyl Abraham was born on October 13, 1936 to Chacko Abraham and Aleyamma Abraham of Kurichethu Eramalladyl in Niranam, Kerala, India. He was known to all as Aniyan.
Aniyan’s elementary schooling was at the Kombankerry School. He completed high school at the Thevery School. He attended Mar Thoma College in Thiruvalla, completing a BA in Economics. Aniyan started working at Hindustan Teleprinters in 1964 in Madras (Chennai), Tamil Nadu as an accounting supervisor. On May 25, 1970 he married Grace Philip at the Christos Mar Thoma Church in Niranam. He was blessed with one son, Joju Abraham in January 1972.
In October of 1979, he emigrated to the United States in New York. The Abraham family moved to Houston in 1981 to settle down. Aniyan held a variety of jobs over the years, including managing a convenience store and working for Macy’s Department store. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Mar Thoma Church.
After retiring he enjoyed gardening, tinkering around the house, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved reading newspapers and enjoyed watching all sorts of sports; his favorite was basketball.
Aniyan had a peaceful passing at home on Monday, July 4, 2022 surrounded by his family. His older brother (Chachen) preceded him to Heaven at 21 years old many years ago. Aniyan is survived by his loving wife, Grace; his son Joju, daughter-in-law Jaya; 3 precious grandchildren-- Nidhi, Sejal, and Dhilan.
