Mr. Epifanio Ramirez's Obituary
Epifanio Ramirez was born April 7, 1924 in San Saba, TX and joined God's heavenly chorus on December 7, 2011. Dad was a self- taught man who had 2 days of schooling but was smarter than any educated man. On February 25, 1951 he married Raquel Rodriguez and this union brought forth a family of seven. Dad was a member of Templo Bethania in Brookside for 54 years. He played the guitar and served as the interim pastor when needed. He dedicated his life to serving God and being an example for his children and grandchildren to follow. Dad worked for the Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad for 42 years before he was forced to retire due to medical issues. He was a very hard worker and provider for his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years and his children, Ep and Alice Ramirez, Esther Gonzales, Rosa Monday, Mary and Herb Toombs, Emily and John Duncan, Dolores and Frank Bravo and Paul and Ronda Ramirez. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Frank Ramirez and sisters, Lucy Sanchez and Virginia Marin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon Ramirez, Pomposa Gutierrez Ramirez, his sons-in-laws, Joe Gonzales and Lloyd Monday. He will be missed by everyone that loved and knew him. Special thanks to the 400 hall nurses and CNA staff at Friendship Haven Nursing Home.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Paul Ramirez, Alex Ramirez, Joe A. Gonzales, Shaun Monday, Justin Toombs, Joel Duncan, and Gabriel Bravo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rev. Joel Cavazos, Artemio Lopez and Connor Ellis.
