Emeril Cheriyan Varghese's Obituary
Emeril Cheriyan Varghese was born on May 1, 2022 to Nishant and Anitha Varghese. God called him to eternity on November 28, 2022. He is survived by his parents Nishant Varghese & Anitha Varghese; older brother Ephraim Mathias Varghese; paternal grandparents Mr. Varghese K. Chacko (Raju) and Nirmala Varghese; and maternal grandmother Mrs. Elizabeth Mathew (Sally). He is also survived by his paternal aunt and uncle Dr. Nisha Joseph and Jomy Joseph; maternal aunt and uncle Smitha Jacob and Jason Jacob; and cousin sisters Abigail Joseph, Eden Joseph, Kaitlyn Jacob, and Amelia Jacob.
Emeril started crawling at 5 months, started standing with support at 5 ½ months and began cruising at 6 months. Emeril loved playing with his brother Ephraim, he loved being given baths, and being held and loved on by his parents and grandparents. Emeril would hold onto his parents’ and grandparents’ faces and would give them the warmest wet kisses.
Emeril was baptized on November 12, 2022 at Trinity Mar Thoma Church surrounded by family and friends that loved him deeply. By the salvific grace of God, those who were present witnessed his solemn affirmation into the Body of Christ. It was there that Emeril meekly, attentively and without blemish accepted Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior into his heart.
We as believers are brokenhearted and are left with a void too vast and deep because God called him into eternity prematurely. It goes without saying but our prince Emeril brought his parents an immeasurable love and joy that words simply cannot express nor do justice.
Emeril means 'powerful leader' and Cheriyan means 'renowned by God'. His life and untimely departure is evidence that Emeril has fulfilled his divine purpose and Christian calling. He now resides at the Throne of Grace and is in the Shekhinah of our loving Abba.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant…enter thou into the joy of the Lord.” Mathew 25:21
