Obituary for Ellis Ward Perry, Jr.
Ellis Ward Perry, Jr., 79, passed away on December 10, 2018.
Visitation will take place at Southpark Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 11, from 5 to 7 pm, with a Rosary at 7pm. Service and Mass will be Wednesday, December 12, at 10:30am, with Father Vincent officiating.
Ward was born and raised in Brownsville, TX on 12/26/38. He received his degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Brownsville and then worked at Union Carbide and Dow Chemical for the next 38 years as a Regional Buyer for electrical and pipe, valves and fitting. Ward was a member of the Saint Clare of Assisi Parish, where he faithfully served the Lord. He loved hunting, fishing, anything outdoors, his grandchildren and was an avid fan of the University of Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Ward Perry and Ruby Perry Drury of Brownsville, sister, Ginger Boden, of Columbus, OH and son, Eddie Perry, of Clear Lake City, TX
He will be dearly missed by his friends and loved ones. Ward is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Perry and children, Beverly Perry of Clear Lake City and Chris and Denise Perry of Friendswood, TX. Grandchildren, Owen Ellis, Brayden Allen, Julianna Grace and Mikaela Nicole, of Friendswood.
