Ellen Alvern Stanley's Obituary
Ellen Alvern Gartman Stanley passed away on December 28, 2021. She was a devoted wife and mother that dedicated her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was born October 10, 1939 in Houston, Texas. She was a 1958 Graduate of Pasadena High School, a 1962 graduate of the University of Texas and taught Secretarial Studies at South Houston High School. She later managed the accounting for Ventech, a company her husband and she started with partners in 1967.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bill L. Stanley, and her four sons and daughter and their families: Kevin and Stephanie Stanley and their daughters Amy Stanley Curran and Julia Stanley; Marc and Catalina Stanley; Scot Stanley and his children Brooke Stanley Canatella and Hunter Stanley; Kreg and Candi Stanley and their children Kayti Stanley and Sean Stanley; and Shari Stanley Bogle and Bryan Bogle and their daughters Megan Bogle and Nicole Bogle. She is also survived by her nephew Donald Gartman and her nieces Dee Dee Gartman Seiter and Kathy Gartman Hotaling.
She was preceded in death by her father John Leslie Gartman and mother Enid Blanche Cunningham Gartman, her older brother Rayburn Leslie Gartman and younger brother Vernon Wayne Gartman.
She will be greatly missed by many other nieces, nephews, family, and lifelong friends, as well as caregivers who have been by her side showing much love and support.
