Mrs. Ellen Eileen Armstrong's Obituary
Eileen Hayward Armstrong (91) of Denton, TX passed away peacefully in her sleep September 26, 2016. She was born to Denzil and Gretchen Hayward on October 1, 1924 in Oberlin, KS. Years later she and David "Jack" Armstrong had a Christmas day wedding. Eileen was a member of Sagemont Church, Houston, TX and the VFW #7109 Auxiliary of Pearland, TX. She is survived by her six children, Patty Welch of Katy, TX, Dennis Armstrong and wife Judy of Harper, TX, John Armstrong and wife Frances of Harper, TX, Janet Rogers and husband Tom of Denton, TX, Jean Fauth and husband Jim of Houston, TX, and Jackie Woodard and husband Gary of Manvel, TX. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Armstrong, grandchildren Charles Roch, Gary Roch, Ariel Roch, Mandy Albritton, Christopher Rogers and Gwendolyn Cushman, brothers Glenvyn Hayward, Laurel Hayward, Eldon Hayward and Gail Hayward, and sister Fern Butler.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, both held at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland, TX. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery, 1310 N. Main Street, Pearland, TX.
