Mrs. Elizabeth Conroy Vaughan's Obituary
Elizabeth Conroy Vaughan, 96, resident of Pearland, TX died on Saturday, October 11th 2008 in the Houston Hospice Center. She had suffered a stroke on September 30th. Born in Offaly County, Ireland and Christened on October 29, 1911. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1927 and became a citizen in 1937. She was a daughter of the late Timothy Conroy and Margaret Lambe Conroy. She was preceded in death by her brother, eight sisters and husband Marvin A. Vaughan, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Amelia V. Little and husband Tom Little of Pearland, TX, Karen V. Meadows and husband Rocky Meadows of Bostic, NC; sister-in-law, Margaret G. Vaughan of Pulaski, VA. She also has numerous nieces and nephews both in the U. S. and Ireland. She was a member of the Golden Acres Baptist Church, Pasadena, TX. She was active with Senior Citizens groups, enjoyed traveling and musical concerts.
