Mrs. Elizabeth E. Loya's Obituary
Elizabeth E. Loya, 70, of Pearland, Texas passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Loya was born October 25, 1945 in Edinburg, Texas to Benito Estimbo and Selerina Salinas Estimbo. After graduating high school she furthered her education and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Houston. She taught at numerous schools in the Dallas ISD, she also taught Spanish at The New Orleans Naval Academy and the Pearland Jr. High.
Mrs. Loya was preceded in death by her son, Kevin J. Uresti; parents, Benito and Selerina Estimbo; siblings, Nicolas Estimbo, Belen Cantu and Daniel Estimbo. Elizabeth is survived by husband Joe Loya Sr.; children Sandra Bueno and husband Frank, Ronnie Uresti and wife Quitta, Adam Uresti amd wife Deborah, Joe Loya Jr. and wife Alicia, Melissa Loya-Berthelot and husband Bobby and Glayds Loya-Womack and husband Elmer; siblings Carlos Estimbo, Emma E. Diaz, Benito Estimbo and wife Ninfa, Delia E. Mejia and Velma E. Silva and husband Pedro; grandchildren Jason Bueno, Hali Bueno, KJ Uresti, Rossi Uresti, Ryan Loya, Jordan Loya, Allyson Loya, Marina Gonzalez and Josh Womack, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 25, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Southpark Funeral Home 1310 North Main St. Pearland, Texas 77581 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 26, 2016 2:00 PM at St. Helen Catholic Church 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581. Burial will follow at Southpark Cemetery.
