Mrs. Elizabeth Warren Hyde's Obituary
ELIZABETH WARREN HYDE went to rest in the arms of Jesus Christ Decmeber 27, 2003 after complications from a fall at home July 31, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Hyde (Bob Hyde); two sons Paul Hyde of Anderson, S.C. and David Hyde and wife Jana of La Porte, TX. and two grandchildren Matthew and Kailie Hyde also of La Porte. Elizabeth was born in Hornbeck, La. On January 20, 1932 and the attending doctor fell off his horse at the family home. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Champ Warren in 1955, her mother, Maggie Elizabeth Warren in 1983 and her older brother Champ Dee Warren in 1999. Elizabeth & Bob attended Queensboro Elementary, Fair Park High School and Centenary College all in Shreveport, La.. Elizabeth was Dream Girl of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity in 1952 and graduated from Centenary in 1953. She taught elementary school in Louisiana and corresponded with Bob when he was in Korea, in the early 1950's. Elizabeth and Bob were Married March 4, 1955 by Dr. Midleton, then Pastor of First Baptist Church in Shreveport, La. When the family moved to Houston in 1970 , Elizabeth joined Park Place Baptist Church and was in regular attendance until her recent hospitalization . Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at Park Place Baptist Church, 4101 Broadway at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2003 with Pastor James Clark officiating. Burial will be at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland.
