Eligio Bernal Garcia's Obituary
Eligio “Lee” Garcia, a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 7, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born to Lee Bernal and Jeanette Garcia, Lee’s life was distinguished by his steadfast dedication, integrity, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
Raised in an era that esteemed quiet diligence and perseverance, Lee embodied these virtues throughout his lifetime. At the age of sixteen, with the consent of his mother, he honorably enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his country with great pride and commitment. His wisdom and generosity fostered opportunity and growth for many.
Lee possessed a profound love of the outdoors, participating in hunting and fishing expeditions worldwide. He and his wife were enthusiastic travelers, exploring the globe by various modes of transport and collecting art, clocks, fine wines, and furnishings. Among his treasured memories were drives through the Italian countryside in sports cars, accompanied by moments of quiet reflection and enjoyment of fine wine. This passion for travel and cultural appreciation was imparted to his children and grandchildren.
Retirement did not diminish Lee’s industrious spirit. He cultivated new interests as a gourmet chef, avid collector of clocks and watches, dedicated gardener, discreet gambler, and meticulous property manager.
