Elia Rodriguez Flores' Obituary
Elia Flores, age 92, loving mother of one, passed away the evening of January 31, 2022. Elia was born in Runge, Texas and grew up surrounded by a large family, she had 3 sisters. She worked at UTMB hospital in Galveston and at Walmart for years. She loved reading her bible daily and sharing her favorite versus with her family. Elia was married to Santos, the love of her life, and they were married for 69 years and raised their son Ruben Flores. While Elia remained active, the loss of her husband Santos over a year and a half ago was a blow. Her family grieves her loss, but they take comfort knowing that Santos and Elia are together again.
We couldn’t keep her forever as we wished and the good Lord had to call her home as it was written. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mom.
Left to cherish her memories are her son Ruben Flores and his wife Carmen Flores; sister: Mary Helen grandchildren: Carmen Carrillo, Amy King, Bobby McDaniel, great-grandchildren: Khloe Carrillo, Angel Stapp, Aylin Stapp, Hadley Stapp, Marcus Stapp, Jerry Stapp.
