Elena Henderson The daughter of Don Manuel and Dona Estrella Gil Santos Perez, Elena Estrella Henderson was born in the city of Iquitos, capital of the department of Loreto, Peru on January 19, 1925. She had 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Their names are: Pablo, Elena, Luzmilla, Alfonso, Ramon, Manuel, Luz Angelica and Augosto of which Ramon and Manuel are living. In 1938, when Elena was 13 years old, the Estrella family immigrated the entire family to Pucallpa. She married Don Julio Cesar Henderson, son of Thomas Henderson and Julia Cauper, in 1942, and had 4 sons and 5 daughers: Cesar, Enrique, William, Elena, Julia, Norma, Pablo, Yvonne and Alina. The family has since multiplied to 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In 1989, Julio and Elena Henderson immigrated to the United States, settling in Houston, Texas. Two years later, Elena accepted Jesus as her only Lord and Savior, and was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
