Mrs. Eileen McDonald's Obituary
Eileen Estella McDonald, 88, of Avenue, Maryland, died December 20, 2010 at Southeast Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas. Born August 7, 1922 in Avenue, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Ida Cheseldine. She attended Holy Angels Catholic School and graduated from Margaret Brent High School. During WWII, she worked for the Red Cross. She married Thomas A. McDonald, Sr., on July 14, 1946 and they spent 56 years together. She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved to cook and spend time with family and friends, who loved and cared for her deeply. She and Tom, Sr. moved to Texas in 1993 and resided at Oak Haven Retirement Community until Tom's death in 2003. They both came to know Jesus Christ as personal Savior through the television ministry of John Hagee and were ministered to locally by Sagemont Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McDonald, Sr. and her sister, Dorothy Sweeney. She is survived by her son, Thomas McDonald, Jr. his wife, Holly, her brother Freddy Cheseldine, brother-in-law Sam Sweeney and nieces and nephews.
