Edwin Phillip Myers' Obituary
Edwin Phillip Myers Jr., 92, of Friendswood Texas, passed away on December 31st 2021 after a long battle with aspiration pneumonia. Ed, as he preferred to be called, was born on December 5th 1929 in Tulsa Oklahoma. After High School, He joined the Army and served 4 years as a tank driver. After his service, he met the love of his life, Bobbie June Myers and they raised their son Dennis in Houston after moving down for a new job Ed landed in Oil and Gas in 1970. In the 1990’s, Ed finally retired from Oil and Gas and enjoyed his favorite hobbies which included aviation and firearms, but he didn’t stay retired long, as he found another career at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Correctional Officer at the Darrington Unit in Rosharon. Ed retired for the 2nd time at the age of 89. Ed is survived by wife Bobbie and a slew of grandchildren including Daniel, Carrie, Dory and Laura. We love you Papa!
