EDWIN EMIL HUNDL February 10, 1918 to January 9, 2013
(Uncle Coolidge or Biggen) Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., St. Helen's Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, TX 77581, with interment following at South Park Resurrection Cemetery off of N. Main in Pearland. A rosary will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at South Park Funeral Home with viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., 1310 N. Main, Pearland, TX 77581. Edwin, age 94, was born on February 10, 1918 in Alief, TX and passed away January 9, 2013 from lung cancer, mesothelioma. Raised in Wallis, TX and has resided in Pearland, TX, Brookside Village for 45 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Hundl of Wallis, TX, brothers; John, Ed, Emil, Joe, Henry, Charlie, Raymond, Dominic, and sister; Mary Beran. Edwin is survived by his loving wife of 60 years; Bessie Hundl and three children; Nancy Netardus and husband Larry, Shirley Nowak and husband Elliott, Myron Hundl and wife Glenda. Grandchildren; Marcie Netardus Fields, Troy Netardus, Christopher Nowak, Matthew Nowak, Andrew Nowak, David Shane Hundl, Lindy Hundl. Great grandchildren; Kylie, Chloe, Kinsley, Lukas, Amelia, Dylan, and Kate. He serviced his country in the United States Air Force as a medic in World War II, 6 years. He was a longshoreman employed and retired by Sealand Service as a Walking Foreman in the Maintenance and Repair Shop and known as "Biggen" for big man. His favorite pastime was gardening and ranching, listening to Czech music, dancing; polka and waltzing. He was a very religious Catholic person, attending St. Helen's Catholic Church, spending time praying in church for weekly Adoration. Serving as pallbearers for the service will be nephew; Jerry Hundl, grandchildren; Troy Netardus, Chris Nowak, Matthew Nowak, Andrew Nowak, David Shane Hundl. Alternate; Eugene Starustka.
