Mr. Edward Mack Orsak's Obituary
Edward Mack Orsak, 91, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Orsak Jr. & Augustina (Uherek) Orsak and sister in law, Ann Orsak.
Edward is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Elvera Orsak, son Dale Orsak, daughter Dana Owens and her husband Mickey, son Daryl Orsak and his wife Cyndi; grandchildren, Amy Owens and her love Buster Bogs (and his daughter, Sarah) , Kayla Orsak and Krista Orsak. Brother Charles and wife Joan.
Edward was born August 07, 1927 in Needville, Texas. He was raised on a farm in Iowa Colony, Texas. Edward worked in the oil fields until he was inducted in to the U.S. Army. He proudly served his country during the Korean War from September 18, 1950 and was honorably discharged on September 24, 1956. He met his love, Elvera, and was married December 16, 1951. He worked for Cooper Bessemer and retired after 25 years of compressor installation and start up in several different countries. He then started his own compressor maintenance company and worked for another 10 years before he retired for the second time.
Edward was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church for 50 years. He was a member of SPJST Lodge for 75 years and the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years.
He loved to fish and garden at the Sargent Cottage and he also loved to mow on his Massey Ferguson tractor at Angleton Acres. He loved his cigars and watching the Astros & old westerns on TV.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him,.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful, caring staff at Heart to Heart Hospice; especially his nurse Stephanie, his chaplain Jerry, his aide/caregiver Brandon and his social worker Jimmy.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation Thursday August 30 from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. with a Rosary service to begin at 6:00 P.M. at the South Park Funeral Home, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday August 31 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas. After grave side service there will be a reception at St. Helen Helena hall.
