Mr. Edward P. LaRock's Obituary
Edward P. La Rock, 92, was born April 3, 1918 in Detriot, Michigan. He peacefully departed surrounded by loving family members at his home in Pearland, Texas on January 22, 2011. He was welcomed into Heaven by his son, John La Rock, son-in-law, Robert Vilinsky and grandson, Stephen Vilinsky who preceded him in death. Ed's first fifty-five years of life was spent in the Rochester, New York area. Where he attended and graduated from East High (1935) and Rochester Institute of Tecnology with a degree in Engineering. His first marriage to Theda Bowen was blessed with five beautiful children. Edward's second marriage to Constance Seeley was blessed with two more loving children and three adoring step-children. Mr. La Rock was employed at numerous locations in the Rochester Area including Kodak and Stromberg-Carlson, a manager of F & H Products in Denver, Colorado and Profax where he retired in Pearland, Texas. To stay active and involved with the community, he continued to work part-time jobs in the Pearland Area. Edward La Rock was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pearland, Texas. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Connie, of 38 years, son, Ronald La Rock and wife, Altagracias, son, David La Rock and wife, Jennie, son, Alvin La Rock and wife, Alice, daughter, Bonnie Vilinsky, son, Edward La Rock and wife, Deborah, daughter, Renee La Rock and husband, Hal Hazen, step-daughter, Cheryl Weaver and husband, Garry Weaver, step-son, Paul Edwards, step-daughter, Mary Moore, and husband, Duane Moore, 33 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of many others including brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, a vast circle of friends and his loving cat, Missy. Edward enjoyed sports. Week-ends found him in his recliner in front of the T. V. cheering on his favorite teams, The Astros and The Rockets. He loved the outdoors, fishing, traveling, and entertaining. Without a doubt, he was a fine gentleman and will be missed beyond measure by his loving family and countless friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM to share memories at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 North Main, Pearland, Texas.
