Ms. Edith Vontosse White's Obituary
White EDITH VONTEESE WHITE, born February 19, 1935, passed away April 19, 2008. Edith's life was defined in the quiet, unmeasured ways she selflessly served others. She spent her career serving hungry children a healthy lunch and spent her entire life sacrificing and caring for her youngest son. Edith was a feisty woman of great strength and endurance, a woman who never let things like circumstance and old age get in her way. She found her happiness at the end of shovel in the garden, or in the painstaking care of all neighborhood animals and strays. Her life was truly bigger and louder than words. Edith is survived by her five loving children: Rachel Reeves, Mike Stevens, Stephanie Palmer, Sandy Quinn, and Ronnie Stevens; grandchildren: Debbie, Kris, Whitney, Candace, Adam, Connie, Gary, Timmy, Sean and Zach. She also leaves behind a whole host of great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
