Edith Marie Thomas' Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edith Marie Thomas, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, whose generous spirit and boundless love touched every life she encountered.
Born to Nery Thomas and Michael Thomas, Edith carried their love and guidance with her throughout her life. She grew up alongside her brothers, Christopher Lee Thomas Sr. and Michael Edward Thomas Jr., forming a bond built on loyalty, laughter, and family stories that she lovingly revisited throughout the years.
Edith’s greatest pride and joy were her three children: Jennifer Marie Thomas, Christopher Michael Mohammadi, and Joseph Michael Mohammadi. To her, motherhood was not a role, it was her calling. She poured her entire heart into her children, always putting their needs before her own. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Her instinct to nurture extended far beyond her own family; many of her children’s friends lovingly knew her as “Mom,” a title she welcomed with open arms.
Those who knew Edith will remember her as competitive in the best way—encouraging, spirited, and always pushing others to believe in themselves. She had a rare gift for lighting up a room; her presence made people feel seen, safe, and loved. Edith created an atmosphere where strangers became friends and friends became family.
She found comfort and joy in the simple things that made life meaningful: journaling her thoughts, crocheting with dedication and creativity, and rewatching the entire Twilight series with a smile of familiarity. She loved being involved in the lives of the people she cared about—attending softball games, going for drives, or even tagging along on daily errands. To Edith, every moment spent with family was a treasure.
Her legacy is one of unconditional love, resilience, and a heart big enough to shelter many. Edith showed us what it meant to care deeply, to stand strong, and to give of oneself without hesitation. Her kindness will echo forward through her children, her family, and all those who were fortunate enough to call her a part of their lives.
Though Edith’s physical presence will be dearly missed, the love she gave so freely will continue to brighten the world. We take comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with the loved ones who passed before her, and watching over the family she adored.
May her spirit remain a guiding light and may her memory forever be a blessing.
