Edith Janice Boyd Bohannon's Obituary
Edith Janice "Jane" Boyd Bohannon, born on January 4th, 1932, departed this world on February 18th, 2024. A lifelong resident of Alvin, Texas, Jane was born to William and Bessie Harness Boyd, the fourth of eleven children. She married M.E. "Ed" Bohannon in October of 1950 and they celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing in 1993. Jane was a dedicated mother of seven children W.D. "Dale" Bohannon and wife Patricia Craft Bohannon; Daniel J. Bohannon, who preceded her in death; Darrell R. Bohannon and wife Nita Snider Bohannon; Bruce A. Bohannon; Lisa Bohannon Northrup and husband Ron; Janet Bohannon Choate and husband Robert; Sarah E. Gulley and husband Shawn. She had 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She leaves behind numerous family and friends who will miss her dearly. Her life was a testament and to resilience, love and unwavering faith.
Her strong faith anchored her through life storms. She found solace in prayer, and her unwavering belief in God sustained her during her difficult times. Jane's devotion was an inspiration to those around her, a reminder that faith could move mountains.
As we say until we see you again to Jane we will celebrate her Legacy- a life well lived, filled with love, laughter, and faith. May her memory continue to shine brightly in our hearts reminding us to cherish each day and hold our loved ones close.
