Mr. Earl Deloy Moore's Obituary
Earl D. Moore, age 81, moved to Heaven on the morning of June 3, 2008 in Canyon Lake, Texas, his home since 1985. He was born on February 27, 1927 in Hobart, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jan Moore; son Steve Moore and his wife, Rose Moore; son Will Moore; and granddaughter Megan Moore. Earl was a dedicated, supportive and loving husband, father and grandfather. He had countless friends that could always rely on his help, his wit and his integrity. Earl graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas in 1945. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. In 1948, while attending the University of Houston, he met and married Janice Edwards. Earl graduated with a Bachelor of Science from U of H in 1950. He was a professional engineer and retired from Monsanto (Chocolate Bayou) in 1985 and continued to work on a contract basis with S&B Engineers into his 70's. Earl was an avid golfer until the day he died. A week before his death he shot a 77, well under his age of 81. He was also an active member and elder of the Tree of Life Church in New Braunfels, Texas. His faith shaped who he was and the respect with which he treated others. He will be greatly missed and admired by the people who knew him.
