Jesse Saldana Sr. ALVIN – Jesse Saldana, 76, of Alvin, joined the Lord Friday, February 27, 2015, in his home surrounded by family. Born March 4, 1938, in Weslaco, TX, he was the son of the late Ernesto Rodriguez and Dolores Escamilla. Mr. Saldana is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ruth Lizcano; along with 4 children, Jesse (Miriam) Saldana Jr., Rodolfo Jimi Saldana, Marcus John (Gretchen) Saldana, Asenath Michelle Saldana (Evan) Solice; five grandchildren, Jeremy Alexander Saldana, Melanie Michelle Saldana, Sophia Asenath Saldana, Marla Monique Saldana, and one on the way. Jesse worked for Alvin Independent School District and retired after 27 years in May 2011. He enjoyed spending time with his children, riding bikes, camping, trips to Chicago, visits to Brazos Bend State Park, Inez TX, and listening to music. Jesse proudly served his nation in the U.S. Army National Guard. Visitation was held Monday, March 2, at SouthPark Funeral Home, Pearland, TX, from 5 to 8 p.m., followed by the funeral service on Tuesday, March 3, at 12:30 p.m.
