Mrs. Dorothy R. Withrow's Obituary
Dorothy Rosalie (Cooley) Withrow, 83, born in Houston on October 30, 1927 and remained a lifetime resident. She passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 in Boerne, TX. She was the younger daughter of Joel Hayden Cooley and Lois Mildred Frisbee Cooley. She loved and married Gerald "Red" Kenneth Withrow in 1946 and they had 47 years together before his death. To this union were born two children. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Foster and husband Kirk; son, G.K. "Jerry" Withrow, Jr. and wife Sylvia; grandchildren: Timothy Dixon and wife Donna of Cleveland, TX., John Dixon and wife Sheryl of Houston, TX., Lisa Taylor of Houston, TX., Pam Mendoza and husband Robby of Houston TX.; great-grandchildren, Andy Dixon of Deweyville, TX., Kristina Schilling of Huffman, TX., Tyler Dixon of Houston, TX., Allie Dixon of Houston, TX., Jess Dixon of Houston, TX., Lillie Dixon of Houston, TX.; and one great-grandchild, Levi Wayne Schilling. The family will be present to receive friends on Friday evening, September 30, 2011 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at SouthPark Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday afternoon October 1, 2011 at 12:30pm in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, TX. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
