Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Mesecke's Obituary
Dorothy “Dot” Mesecke, 78, of Manvel passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at her home. Dorothy loved bowling, gardening, cruises, camping and cook off’s. She loved to BBQ and singing with her sister Arlene. One thing she did was crank up her Cajun music. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Pauline Uherek; sister, Helen Valusek; brothers-in-law, Walter Valusek and Frank Vojtek. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Marvin Mesecke; daughter, Diane Laver and husband Kent LeDoux of Baytown; Donna Dalton and husband Bill of Alvin; sister, Arlene Vojtek of Rosenberg; brother, Gene Uherek and wife Margie of Pearland; grandchildren, Brent and Brandon Laver and Matthew Mesecke; great-grandchildren, Louis Roscom, Arial Laver, Matthew Mesecke Jr., numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and her devoted little dog “Pokey”. The family received friends on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 11:00am until Service time at 12:30pm in the Chapel of Southpark Funeral Home, 1310 North Main St. Pearland, 77581. Burial immediately followed at Southpark Cemetery.
