Dorothy "Reah Rhea" Haynie's Obituary
Dorothy “Rhea Rhea” Haynie, age 71, passed away on March 7th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Pearland, Tx, after a short, courageous battle with leukemia. Born on June 8th, 1952, in Galveston, TX and growing up in Alvin, TX, she brought immense joy to those around her.
Rhea Rhea’s journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength and resilience. Her unwavering spirit in the face of adversity, in previously battling 2 separate types of breast cancer, was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Rhea Rhea was predeceased by her parents, Billy Joe and Patsy Triplett, her siblings, Billy “Bumpy” Triplett, Betty Hood, and Kelly Triplett Sr., and many other family members and friends. She is survived by her husband, Marc Haynie; Son, Robert Sears, Daughter- in -law, Kay, grandson Kaleb Sears; Son, Kelly Sears, Daughter-in-law, Melissa, grandsons, Ryan Sears and Jonathan Salazar, Granddaughters, Alexandria Lindsey, Danielle Davis, and Elizabeth Salazar her husband Rick Ferdin, great-grandkids, Reggie Rice III, Elijah Ferdin, and Emilia Ferdin; Daughter, Marci Haynie; Granddaughter, Alyssa Hood, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
She will forever be remembered for her amazing food, creative crocheting, kindness, compassion, patience, and positive impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
The viewing will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday March 22nd, 2024. The service to honor and celebrate Rhea Rhea’s life will be held on Saturday March 23rd, 2024 at 10 a.m., with reception to follow in the Magnolia Room. Both are being held at South Park Funeral Home at 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, Tx 77581. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you to donate to the American Cancer Society, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, MD Anderson Cancer Center, or the Susan G Komen Foundation.
