Mrs. Dorothy Belle Davis' Obituary
DOROTHY BELLE ALEXANDER DAVIS, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, December 13th, 2017 at the age of 96. She was born one of five children to Jesse Enoch and Gladys Durant Alexander on January 13, 1921 in Alvin, TX. Dorothy was beautiful, kind, and pure of heart. She loved deeply and was loved by all who knew her. She was a long-time member of Tallowood Baptist Church and a faithful follower of the Lord. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Ted W. Davis; her son, Jimmy Davis; and her parents, Jesse and Gladys Alexander. Dorothy is survived by her son, John Robert (Bob) Davis and his wife Nancy; her daughter, Nancy Lee Kennedy; her grandchildren: David Kennedy and his wife, Lori; Stacey Sims and her husband, Todd; Angie Kendrick and her husband, Chris; her great-grandchildren: Hannah and Emma Jannsen, Braden and Reid Kendrick, and Davis Kennedy; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1:30 pm in the Chapel at Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood Road, Houston, TX 77024. The funeral will begin at 2:00 pm with Larry Bertram, of Tallowood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will take place immediately afterward at South Park Cemetery, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland TX 77581.
