Dorothy Mae Cobb's Obituary
Dorothy Mae Cobb was born on June 3rd, 1933 to Oscar and Ida Strader in Rockdale, TX. She was a twin and the youngest of seven children. She was employed by an oil company when she met the love of her life, Aubrey. They settled and built a loving home in South Houston where they raised three kids. She was a wonderful homemaker who at times worked various jobs for extra cash. She loved spending time with her family and church family and was an avid card player. In 1987 she started her 10 year career at Park 'N Go greeting everyone and getting them safely to their destination. Shortly after she started working at Park 'N Go, she suffered the tragic loss of her husband. Independent and strong-willed, she went on to live 25 more years filling her family and the world with her love and kindness. Preceded in death is her husband Aubrey Cobb; Her parents Oscar and Ida Strader; Brothers Cotton, Alton and Preston Strader; Her sister Pauline Fleming and twin sister Doris Austin. She is survived by her oldest sister Margie and husband Johnny Vernon; Her son Steve Cobb and wife Aimee, Her son Carroll Cobb, and daughter Venessa Nylund and husband Darrell; Six grandchildren including Jason Adams, Shara Copeland, Wendy Welch and husband Freddy, Robbie Nylund and Fiancee Kristina Pavlicek, and Justin and Allison Cobb.
