Mr. Donald Fayne Watson's Obituary
Donald “Pop” Watson, 81, passed away on June 15th, 2018 at his home in Houston, Texas. Pop was born on March 1st, 1937 in Houston, Texas to Alta Lucille Watson and William Haywood Watson. He is proceeded in death by his wife of 52 years, Melba Watson, mother Alta Lucille Watson and father William Haywood Watson. He is survived by daughter Cindy Giamalva of Burke, TX, son Oscar Giamalva of Burke, TX, daughter Cindy Bailly and son-in-law Marc of Rockport, TX, daughter Donna Lesh and son-in-law Joe, daughter Joyce Muskiet of Houston, TX, daughter “Blue”, fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Pop started working at Gulf Printing in 1954 at the age of 17. In his spare time, he enjoyed getting his hands dirty woodworking and creating beautiful Intarsia art. He loved traveling anywhere and everywhere. His greatest joys of life were his dog, Blue, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Any possible chance, you could find him playing hand and foot with friends. Pop was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, he opened his heart and home to many.
