Donald Thomas Rigler (1930 - 2012) Donald Thomas Rigler, born December 27, 1930 in Brewton, Alabama to Charles Peyton and Ava Alieen Mayo Rigler and passed away October 19, 2012 in Pearland, Texas. Don grew up in Philadelphia, Mississippi, attended Ole Miss University after military service, then worked over 40 years for PPG industries in Lake Charles. He was active in the Sons of the American Revolution, geneology, collecting coins, and organizing / participating in the annual Lake Charles Memorial Day S.A.R. "Avenue of Flags" Ceremony. Don retired in Lake Charles,LA moved to Natchitoches, LA during huricane Rita and finally settled in Pearland, TX earlier this year. He was preceded in death by son Douglas Rigler and grandson James Verret. Don is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Tolman of Pearland, TX; children, Kathleen Premeaux of Lake Charles, LA; Alan Rigler of Sugar Land, TX; Walter Rigler of Pearland, TX, John Rigler of Grapevine, TX along with 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Don's surviving sibling are two brothers, Paul Rigler of Freeport, TX and Charles Rigler of Taylors, SC , three sisters, Adelaide Powell of Columbia, MS, Frances Stewart of Suches, GA and Rebecca Holshouser of Blowing Rock, NC. The family has plans for a cremation and a private family gathering for a final resting home in Lake Charles.
