Mr. Donald Guy Howard's Obituary
Donald Howard was born in Litchfield, IL. on November 3, 1926, and was the 5th of nine children in his family. HE enlisted in the U.S. Navy in WWII. After receiving an honorable discharge Don headed for Texas to attend Baylor University in Waco, TX. He received his degree in Business Administration and set his sights on Galveston where he entered the business world in retail management before moving on to work for Texaco Inc. for 33 years.
Don remained a devoted sports fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and his adopted Astros & Rockets, though the Oilers and Texans could be trying. He was also a wonderful caretaker and guardian for all of the cats, dogs, ponies, and horses that were brought into his life by his family.
He is survived by his wife Josephine of 63 years and his two daughters Elizabeth and Cherie, loving family and friends. Donations can be made in his name to the Cancer Research and Parkinson’s Associations.
