Donald Lloyd Dixon's Obituary
Donald Lloyd Dixon, 72, of Alvin, Texas, passed away on January 3, 2023.
Visitation will be held 5:00 -8:00 pm January 10, at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas. A Rosary will be said during visitation at 6:00 pm.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on January 11, 23 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Dickinson, Texas. Father Stephen Zigrang of Queen of Angels will be officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at SouthPark Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are being held by SouthPark Funeral Home.
Donald was born in Galveston, Texas on January 10, 1050. He graduated from Alvin High School and continued to receive a Real Estate License from College of the Mainland.
Donald was married to Cynthia Lynn Walker on May 22, 1971; they were married 51 years.
Donald was Self-employed 43 years. He was the owner of D.L. Dixon Enterprises, Inc. operating as a third-party Crane & Rigging Safety Consultant; and Dixon Water Well Service, Inc. doing water well and pump repairs. Prior to going into business for himself, Donald was a Sheet Metal Worker out of Local 144 in Galveston, Texas. Donald enjoyed nurturing his fruit trees and his Grandchildren. Donald was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a proud Lifetime Member of the NRA.
Donald is survived by his wife, Cynthia Lynn Walker Dixon, his grandchildren Maggie Grace Preib, Molly Lynn Preib, Abigail Tokuhara, Keith Tanager Tokuhara, Angelica Lark Tokuhara, his brother, Floyd Allen Dixon and wife, Billie June Johnson Dixon, his daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Preib and husband Kevin Preib, his daughter, Rebecca Anne Tokuhara and husband, Keith Gilbert Tokuhara, his daughter Rachel Nicole Dixon, his niece, Donna DeAnn Lewis and husband, Lance Allen Lewis, his niece, Tracy DeAnne Walker Huff and husband Christopher Shane Huff, his nephew, Gary Allen Dixon and wife Dena Williams Dixon, his nephew, John Howard Walker Jr. and wife, Mary Saylor, his nephew, Nicolas Rhodes.
Donald is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Agnes Prihoda Dixon, his father, Floyd James Dixon, his sister, Bette Jo Gatlin and husband, Henry Gatlin, his nephew, Paul William Rhodes Jr.
