Mr. Donald Gene Cassell's Obituary
Donald Cassell, 78, of Houston, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 7th. He was born in Burkburnett, TX. Don had many talents, playing piano which he studied at Sherwood School of Music in Chicago, his passion was working in his dad’s gun shop, later he created beautiful wood work pieces ranging from home décor to furniture.
Don served in the U.S. ARMY & Reserves from 1963, he trained as a Sharp Shooter and Rad Teletype Operator with Honorable Discharge in 1969. Don retired from Southwest Saw Corporation that is in Houston in 2004.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Cassell and Lillie Jackson, three of his four siblings; brother Edsel, sisters Joy and Christina., He is survived by his daughters; Paula Hathorn, and Anita Reeve (Van), grandchildren; Logan Hathorn (Stephanie), Shea Hathorn, Justin Reeve (Jayneen), great grandchildren; Jordyn and Jace Reeves, and several nieces and nephews.
