Dolly Mae Pourchot's Obituary
Dolly Mae Pourchot was born in Texas City, Texas on July 27, 1935, to Malchom Theiler Sr. and Dollie Theiler. She went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. She was the oldest daughter of 11 children. She grew up in La Marque, Texas, helping her parents raise her eight younger siblings. She developed a strong work ethic at a young age by, helping her parents and siblings grow and harvest crops, ranging from corn to watermelons. She grew up in a time when, if you wanted something you worked hard to earn it. She tried to pass these traits along to her five children. She graduated from Hitchcock High School, where she played on the varsity girls basketball team. She married the love of her life, Robert Stanley Pourchot Sr., on January 14, 1954. They were married for 50 years before his passing on November 16, 2004. They raised five children during that time and enjoyed family gatherings and reunions. Dolly was a strong woman with a tender heart. She was a gift from the Lord to her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Kenneth Pourchot. Her brothers; Frank, Malcolm Jr., Ernest, Paul and George. Her sisters; Joyce Smith, Sophie Wester and Ruth Theiler. She is survived by her son, Robert Pourchot Jr. and wife Rita, daughter Sherry Beaupré and husband Bryan, son Richard Pourchot and wife Darla, and daughter Sharon Smith. Her sister and best friend, Sue Sidiropoulos and brother Lee Theiler. Grandchildren; Summer Daenen and husband Geoffrey, Michael Beaupré and Gabrielle Chavez, Autumn Beaupré, Lindsay Sain and husband John, Chris Stevenson, Skylar Smith, Megean Pourchot, Cassie Yarbrough and husband Mike, Andrea Wilson and husband Justin, Tiffany Tucker. Great Grandchildren; Clayton Daenen, Bethany Daenen, Kimberlyn Sain, Weston Sain, Aubree Stevenson, Addison Stevenson, Chase Grob, Gavin Grob, Laylah Gouldin, Madeline Wilson, Carter Peel, and Chloe Yarbrough. As well as numerous cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
