On Thursday, July 25, 2019, Dollie Joy Mount Mancuso passed away in Pearland Texas, at the age of 90. Dollie was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on January 30, 1929 to Clarence and Dolores (Kempker) Passwaters. Her family moved to Houston in 1942 where she graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School. In 1965, Dollie went to work for Houston Lighting and Power Company as a Customer Service Representative. She loved to cook and was constantly trying out new recipes and sending them out to family and friends. Family celebrations and holidays were filled with great food that she would spend days preparing. Dollie also loved to sew. She made curtains, chair cushions and various other household items. But her most important creations were the clothes she made for her daughters and granddaughter.
Dollie is predeceased by her first husband, Edward Ray Mount, her second husband Cesare Mancuso and her grandson Donald Ray Scherer. She is survived by her daughters Rae Lynn (Mount) and John McBride, Patricia (Mount) and Donald Scherer, and Sandra (Mount) and Roger Worthy; grandchildren Benjamin Goodheart, Katherine Scherer, Robert Scherer and Brandon Worthy; and great grandchildren Tyler Goodheart and Kai-lee Goodheart.
