Mrs. Diane Dishaw's Obituary
Diane Yvette Dishaw, surrounded by those who loved her dearly, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Diane spent the past several weeks fighting a gallant battle against a ferocious disease called COPD. Because she had a passion for people, Diane made friends everywhere she went. She was particularly fond of her 9 grandchildren and took great interest in them and their many activities. Diane was born June 19, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to Bert and Yvette West. She was the second oldest of 7 children. In her late teens, Diane attended beauty school to follow her dream of making everyone look as beautiful as Marilyn Monroe. It was during this time she met Don Dishaw and as his wife she found her true passion of being a mother. Together they raised 3 boys. Diane had many interests. She was an avid bowler, practiced guitar and piano, crocheted and wrote short stories. The majority of her spare time was spent following and cheering for her boys on the football fields, basketball courts and baseball diamonds. Diane was always the boys’ biggest fan. Late in life, Diane met her true best friend, Jeff Hazard. Jeff stood by her and loved her until the very end. She is survived by her sons, Donnie, Randy, and Jesse Dishaw; her sisters Yvonne West, Linda West and Sherri Cece; her brothers Jerry and Ronnie West; and her precious grand kids, Tripp, Avery, Hailey, David, Ron, Ashlee, Madison, Callie and Austin. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 12:30 PM at in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery
