Desmond Oliver Watts' Obituary
Desmond Oliver Watts departed his loving family on January 1st, 2022. He passed away at the age of 78 years old, approximately six months after he relocated from Brooklyn, NY to Houston, TX. Desmond Oliver Watts was born on December 27th, 1943, to the late Lyonel Watts and Lillian Cezair. He was born on the island of Trinidad and Tobago. Desmond lived and worked in various countries throughout the West Indies contributing to the development of infrastructure broadly. He began his professional career as a master carpenter in Trinidad and ultimately settled in the United States.
Desmond Watts was the patriarch of his family, a loving father, caring grandfather, and friend to so many. Desmond married Moreen Watts at 29 years of age. Desmond is survived by the mother of his children, Moreen Yolande Watts, 65, and their five children: Ronnie Oliver Watts 50, Sheldon Oliver Watts 46, Jeffrey Brian Watts 43, Amanda Marie Watts 36, and Marlene Desiree Watts 33. Desmond’s living siblings are Keith Watts, Theresa Cezair, Laurence Cezair, and Claudette Daniel. Desmond’s grandsons are Ronnie Kyree Watts, Lucas Joaquin Oliver Watts, Kaiden Watts, and Maximo Gael Oliver Watts.
Desmond will be truly missed by so many, far and wide. His legacy and memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those whose lives he touched.
